About this Course
Music is an important part of our childcare curriculum because young children and even adults like us generally love the sound of music. We use music and singing to introduce children to our daily routines such as circle time, transitioning to the next activities, clean-up time, nap time, etc. We sing soothing songs, teach children to recite or sing nursery songs and rhymes, and also teach them action songs during music and movement such as marching in a parade around the classroom. Music promotes children’s development in multiple domains, it helps in self-regulation, and helps build their social and emotional skills.
